The App is a secure wrapper around the college's official website (app.marangimahavidyalaya.edu.in). It displays college information, notices, and services, and includes a GPS Photo feature for capturing location-verified photographs.
The App requests access to your device camera only when you open the "GPS Photo" feature to take a photograph. Images are captured and processed on your device. The App does not record video, and the camera is never used in the background.
When you use the GPS Photo feature, the App accesses your device's location to stamp the photograph with its coordinates, approximate address, accuracy, date, and time — creating a geo-tagged record. Your approximate location may also be used to show local weather on the home screen. Location is accessed only while the App is in use and only for these purposes.
Geo-tagged photos you capture are saved to your device's gallery, or shared by you to other apps, only when you choose to save or share them. The App does not scan, read, or upload your existing photos or files.
The App fetches public notices and announcements from the college website to display them to you. This does not require any personal information from you.
Because the App displays the college website, any information you choose to enter on the website (for example, when logging in to a student/teacher portal or submitting a form) is handled by that website and its respective service providers, subject to the website's own terms.
To provide certain features, the App may send the minimum necessary data (such as your approximate coordinates) to the following trusted services:

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings → Apps → Marangi Mahavidalaya → Permissions. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature.
Photos and location stamps are stored on your own device unless you choose to share or upload them. We apply reasonable technical measures, and the App communicates with the college website over secure HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is intended for college students, staff, and the general public. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner that violates applicable law. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
